That is the most reason why most artists shun friends and known faces when they make it. Because they were never there for them through the struggles or never helped in supporting their music in the beginning.
2. RANDOM FANS ARE THE REAL FANS
Random fans will stream or buy all your albums and singles, But people you know wont even share your music or like your post, like bro hahaha... Ignore the fakes, and rock with the true and loyal your fans.. 100 likes on Facebook photo but 10 streams on Audiomack or Spotify. It's all fake likes on social media. Don't believe the social media likes. Those liking your posts may be crushing on you or just want to be associated with your glamor and shine but are not true fans of your music. Don't believe the fake likes on social media. Real fans will share your music interact and cheer you on and even learn how to sing your songs or stream or buy them.
3. IT'S NOT ABOUT FAME
It's not about fame, It's about getting recognized for your talent and getting paid for it through music streams and music sales. Promoting and marketing your music is the key to getting recognized and later getting patronage for your music.
4. YOU NEED TO GRIND HARDER
Likes on social media should not get into your head. You need to work harder, even more than established artists.
Your music will be bigger than any problem you have ever faced, so grind through it and make it happen so you can finally be financially free and make a good damn name for yourself.
5. LIKES SHOULD CORRESPOND WITH FINANCIAL SUCCESS
Dont believe you are famous because you are getting likes from social media. Until those likes transform into money for you, those likes are just validations. You need to leverage on those validations and make money from it. If you are getting tons of likes people should be patronizing your music more. If people are not patronizing your music but you are getting tons of likes know that it's fake. You need to restrategize your music business.
